  Room leaked and had to shift rooms to poor quality room

  + Staff were attentive and eventually addressed problem with room after i insisted in talking to manager

  − Rooms are small and tired. This is not a boutique hotel. Initially placed in room with huge disability wet room taking up much of the space. We had not requested this and it did not have a proper shower. Then the bathroom had a leak from the ceiling which eventually meant we had to be moved mid stay. This was apparantly a known problem with ghe air conditioning. The only room available to shift us to was a tiny cupboard room with two beds and no space to sit or move once our luggage was shifted. Apllogies but no offer to compensate initially. When i complained we wee offered a late check out(!). Then $50. Had to insist on talking to manager given $100 plus a cafe food voucher and an apology for being down rather than upgraded ( they were full) We had wanted a relaxing boutique hotel stay for our last 2 days of holiday. What we got was dissapointing and stressful. Not helped by horrible weather conditions with dangerous air conditions and smog. Not hotels responsibility but I was surprised ghey were not warnkng customers about how dangerous gge air quality was ( on official Singapore websites) or proving free n95 face masks. Wont be using this hotel again. Also note this place is approx 15 minutes from metro stations abd not really very handy for chinatown etc.

  I enjoyed including the town mood, food, peoples kindness, and smell of the incense.

  + It is as name as Nostalgic place; such as good-days British style + traditional Chinese cultures are next to and kindly merged. The inside of the architecture is like a manner house-based traditional hotel in Cambridge, UK. At the same time, the area is low rise residential town. The difference from the all-sky scrapers city centre forms good mood. And the hotel service persons and the people in the area are kind. I liked very much the Chinese restaurant next to the hotel, also the market, where I could find warm soy milk and an apple for my morning. There also some European style, can talk in English cafeterias in the same area. Their croissant was very nice. I loved the water server and free-coffee. I also enjoyed the pool. I recommend the time after 20:00. No body else, quiet, chilly wind, very relaxing. There prepared free towels only for pool users.

  − I expected "Nostalgic" mood so everything was fine, but, if someone expects the Singapore, posh, all city-kind of life style, the person may be surprised. There was a bus stop but a bit far from airport area. I needed to visit general hospital for my job, then it was really good distance from the hospital. The bathroom may be a slightly small for bigger person than me.

  What a treat

  + What a treat. This hotel was everything we needed in the middle of Singapore. Best points were: - Location: Tiong Bahru hawker right next door, quiet, next to the MRT, central - Facilities: Room was a great size, bathroom had everything, they had a pool, filtered water, various pillows, powerful AC - Staff: Always really helpful and nice Could not recommend it more, great value for money. Would stay there again and again

  − Only thing to bear in mind is that things don't dry that quickly (i.e. towels), but as you can see, didn't detract from the score - just something to know

  + Das Hotel ist super gut gelegen um mit der MRT oder mit dem Bus Singapur zu erkunden. Eine Bushaltestelle ist direkt vor der Hotel und zwei MRT Stationen fußläufig zu erreichen. Der Pool bietet vor allem bei Nacht einen unglaublich tollen Ausblick, auch wenn dieser leider schon etwas in die Jahre gekommenen ist und ein zwei Fliesen erneuert werden könnten. Die Betten in den Zimmern waren unglaublich bequem und das Personal unglaublich freundlich.

  − Im Badezimmer hat eine Anlagemöglichkeit gefehlt. So mussten wir viel auf dem Schreibtisch im Zimmer lagern beim eh schon sehr kleinen Zimmer für Singapur Verhältnisse.

  Great value for money in a lovely area .

  + Property is in a great location , coffee shops and restaurants and the best part next to Tiong baru market . The staff are lovely and it’s lovely and clean . Great value too .

  − The rooms are very small but we had a terrace which made a difference . No kettle in the room but there is a water machine on each floor that dispenses boiling water .

On July 19, 2025, the government will conduct public gas rectification maintenance outside the hotel premises. During this time, guests may experience noise disturbances between 15:00 and 21:00. Additionally, the hot water supply may be affected from 23:00 to 06:00. Do note that the extra bed is only available for exclusive room and it is subjected to availability. Please contact the hotel for more information and to check on availability. Children aged 0 - 6 years can stay free of charge when using existing bedding. Children aged 7 - 11 years incur an additional charge of SGD 60 per night when using extra beds. Children aged 12 years and above incur an additional charge of the adult rate and SGD 60 per night for the extra beds. Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian. A deposit may be required at the property.
